The geocache here was aptly titled "Gate to Nowhere", as no fence extends beyond the gate. Before and beyond it are yards of Sahara mustard, a fairly recently naturalized plant that has proven insanely invasive among some of the county's most sensitive environments. Behind it to the right is saltceder tamarisk, another invasive plant, though one that has proven useful both to farmers who have been using it for windbreaks, and to some migratory birds who have found it offers more shelter than native plants.
