Time jump! Although if I get the gallery updated, I'm sure this will no longer be the time jump. But 32 hours and 750 miles later, we're in Idaho. We drove through Friday day up to Curlew Campground, along the 84 in South Idaho. And we then took off the next day to look through the Sawtooth Mountains for a walk-up campground. Perhaps if we had showed up a few days earlier we might have had different outcomes, but every campground had 'Full' signs up.

Here in Stanley, which had cellphone reception, the Salmon River was running high. We stopped to phone back our status to Greg, when we spotted that at the historical museum, they were letting people camp on their lawn for the eclipse. They had just opened up that morning so they weren't full, in fact they had a lot of spots open (for $25/tent/night). So we decided to check that out.
