William Abner Bryant was born to William & Sarah (McClure) Bryant. He died in The Battle of Lone Jack, Jackson Co, MO. on 08-16-1862. His remains were buried there in a mass Confederate grave in Soldiers Cemetery. This CSA memorial stone was placed next to his widow, Malinda (Smith) Bryant's grave in Grange Hall Cemetery, Navarro Co, TX. Wm Abner & Malinda had 3 sons, Wm Robert, Joseph Mack & James Abner.
