Photo on the left is Danny Gordon Mize just after birth at the Doolin Smith in Circlesville. The rock fence which is made from geodes , was made by Walter Green Lay. Walter was the father of Eula Lay. The right hand photo was taken in the front yard Of Doolin Smith’s house. The birth announcement is for Danny Gordon Mize. He was born during August 1936. The sketch is of Circlesville which is located near Norwood, Kentucky. The house pictured on this page is the former home of Doolin Smith who was a local celebrity. Danny Gordon Mize was born in the front upper room on the day of 8th August 1936. There is a local story that a former resident of the house had hanged their self in the same room. The lower left picture was taken during the year 1981 and the photo above was taken during the 1990’s. The stone wall in the front of the house was built by Walter Lay the father of Eula Lay (wife of Robert Mize) (retrieved from personal collection on 11 Nov 2016)

This picture of Danny Mize was taken with his pet dog on the front porch of the Jack Mize house near Frog Hollow. Notice that their phone is on the front porch behind Danny. The left photo was taken on the Jack Mize farm and in the background, there is a white building was part of the corn mill used by Jack Mize and his family to grind corn for the farm and his neighbors. He ultimately used the grist to make illicit liquor which Jack sold or drank himself. Robert Mize also helped Jack Mize to produce corn in the jar whiskey. Danny Gordon Mize is riding the tricycle.
This horse and buggy was owned by Walter and Minnie Lay, mother of Eula Lay. Danny is seated on the far right and two of his cousins are seated to the left. The photograph was taken at Science Hill, Kentucky. (retrieved from personal collection on 11 Nov 2016)
