Obituary:
Roy Eugene Mize, 63, of Huron, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, in St. Vincent Mercy Hospital of Toledo.
Roy was born July 21, 1949, in Sandusky to Roy and Pearley Mize. He graduated from Huron High School in 1967. Roy
retired in April 2012 from A. Schulman in Bellevue. He enjoyed NASCAR, classic cars, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and
going to breakfast with his family. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Vicki; five children, Paul (Lisa) Mize,
of Huron, Melanie (Rick) Raths, of Bay View, Scott, of Huron, Jarrod (Jill), of Huron, and Kevin (Angela), of
Sandusky; seven grandchildren, Morgan, Madison and Tanner Mize, Mackenzie and Bailie Raths, and Mckenna and Jackson
Mize; and a sister, Cloie (Dan) Meyer, of Sandusky. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy, in 1997, and his
mother, Pearley, in 2009. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Hemeyer and the staff of
The Bellevue Hospital for their exceptional care of Roy during his brief time with them. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m.
Sunday, Oct 28, at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron, where services will be at 11 a.m. Monday,
Oct 29,. The Rev. Delmar Bailey will officiate. Burial will be at Scott Cemetery, Huron Avery Road, Huron. Memorial
contributions may be made in memory of Roy to The American Diabetes Association.
