Obituary:
Pearley Mize (Bailey), 85 of Huron, Ohio died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Fireland's Regional Medical Center,
Sandusky, Ohio, (Erie County) Ohio. She was born March 9, 1924 in Floyd County, Kentucky, and has been a resident
of Huron, Ohio for the past 60 years. She worked for the Luster Corporation, Huron, Ohio and was a laborer at the
Shelby Army/Air Force Supply Depot. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and canning vegetables from her garden. She loved
to feed the squirrels in the neighborhood. She is survived by a daughter, Cloie (Dan) Meyer of Sandusky, Ohio; a
son, Roy Eugene (Vicki) Mize of Huron, Ohio; six grandchildren, Melanie Raths, Brian Meyer, Paul Mize, Scott Mize,
Jarrod Mize and Kevin Mize; six great-grandchildren, Adam Meyer, Morgan Mize, Madison Mize, Tanner Mize, MacKenzie
Raths and Bailey Raths; three sisters, Polly Lacey, Elva Reed, both of Shelby, Ohio and Roberta Cole of Mansfield,
Ohio; two brothers, Fred Bailey of Shelby, Ohio and Delmar Bailey of Shilo, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Roy Jackson Mize in 1997; parents, Kendall and Rosie (Shepherd) Bailey; an infant daughter, Gloria Jean
Mize; and three brothers, Jim Bailey, Frank Bailey and Bert Bailey. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the
Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main Street, Huron, Ohio, where services will be Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jane Reheard
officiating. Burial will be in Scotts Cemetery, Huron, Ohio.
