Betty Gastineau

A letter from Betty Jane Gastineau:

“My family moved to Indiana from Kentucky when I was four years old. We lived as tenant farmers in northern Indiana until I was in the forth grade of elementary school. When we moved to Francisville, Indiana, the population was one thousand people. We remained in Francisville until 1951. That year I graduated from Francisville. He had just returned from military service. We lived on a farm outside Francisville until 1963 when we moved to LaFayette, Indiana. We have three children. They all graduated from Purdue University. The oldest son, John Martin Jr, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. John Martin Jr. lives in Madisonville, Kentucky. Our daughter had a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and St. Louis University. She is a nurse. The youngest son, Timothy, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy. Both, Charlene and Timothy, live in LaFayette, Indiana. There are no grandchildren at the present time.” John Martin Sr is a Korean Conflict veteran for the years 1951 through 1953. He worked at the Fairfield Manufacturing."
