This photo was taken on 31 March 1929 in Ohio. Eula who was known as “Blackie” because of her hair is posing with her friends. Left to right bottom to back: Mary Jane Cromer, Eula Leigh, Dick Cromer, Jack Cromer *notice the rabbits that they have!; This note was written by Eula Lay when a Lay family historian visited the home of Walter and Minnie Lay during the 1960s. It shows the family lineage that had been researched and given to her earlier in Eula’s life by a door to door salesman selling family histories. (retrieved from personal collection)
