"By Denton Hargis......John Madison "Stradie" Phelps and wife, Nancy Randolph. John M Phelps was a son of Lorenzo Dow Phelps and Sarah Brinson, born on September 7, 1841 at Bent, Pulaski Co., KY. He married Nancy Randoplh/Randall, daughter of Robin Randolph and Nancy E. Sears, on March 10, 1864. He and Nancy moved their family to Phelps Co., MO where some of there children were born. They returned to Pulaski before his death on May 18, 1914 and are buried in Randall Chapel Cem., Rt. 1003, Pulaski Co., KY.
