Gerald W. (Bud) Mize, 78, of Carlisle passed away at 6:55PM Saturday October 27, 2007 at his residence. He was born in Paxton, Indiana June 1, 1929 to Dooley Mize and Ethel Garner Mize. He was an Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion in Carlisle. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Whitlock Mize in 1997, also two brothers; Marshall Mize, Luther Mize, and four sisters; Ruby Peach, Henrietta Purcell, Ruth Whalen, and Myrtle Maynard. . Survivors include two sons; Jack Mize of Carlisle, Dallas Mize of Sullivan, one daughter Geraldine McCoy of Carlisle, 8 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday October 31, 2007 at Banks and Brust Funeral Home with Pastor Marilyn Couger officiating. Burial in the Providence Cemetery in Paxton with military graveside services by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera Legion Posts and the VFW Post.
